Bradley Farm, Volunteer Day and Parent Teacher Organization

CucumbersFriday, August 28th through September – Youth Farmers’ Market (YFM) from 3:45pm – 5:00pm

For seven years, Bradley has proudly offered Youth Farmers’ Market during the late summer harvest season. Come join us every Friday through September, and enjoy a free chef demonstration and tasting. Then purchase ALL Kid Proud & Colorado Proud produce for the week!

The Youth Farmers’ Market is located behind the school, along the school and community garden. The easiest access point is a pedestrian gate along Dahlia, in between Plum & Cornell. We will be very visible from the Dahlia. In case of rain, you can find YFM inside the main entrance.

This week we will be highlighting fresh cucumbers and zucchini from the garden! Yum!

For $8 you can purchase a “Pick a Pail” and wander through the school garden searching and harvesting all the goodies you can fit in the pail! This is by far a huge KID PLEASER, especially on a Friday afternoon!

Saturday, September 12th – Farm Volunteer Day at the Bradley Farm from 9am – 12pm

Help us weed, mulch, etc., as we continue to harvest very local produce for the cafeteria! Please contact Anne Wilson with Food and Nutrition Services at 720-423-5608 to RSVP.

Bradley’s cafeteria is COLORADO PROUD! We provide healthy, delicious and scratched-cooked meals with fresh salad bar selections every day. Our school hosts 1 of 4 URBAN FARMS that grows produce only for DPS!

From the Bradley Parent Teacher Organization

Bradley PTO has a new way to donate to the PTO through Cheddar Up. Donate using your credit card! So much easier than checks! This year, like last, PTO is not taking membership fees and are simply asking for donations. We’ll use the donations towards technology that PTO can buy at the beginning of the year – Promethean Boards, laptops, DonorsChoose projects, etc. Help get us started! Remember, donate $50+ and receive a unique Bradley item! We have an amazing Bradley Tote this year that you’re going to LOVE!

The PTO will be using Cheddar Up throughout the year to purchase reusable King Soopers/Safeway cards, buy tickets for the large fundraiser, buy spirit wear, pay for the new Fall Fun Run, pay for spelling challenge, etc. Let us know how you like it or if you are having problems with it. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

We hope to see you at some of our great PTO events coming up. Childcare is provided. Our meetings are the first Monday of each month (unless we are not in school).

Don’t forget to check our website www.BradleyPTO.com for updates throughout the year.
